Dear Friends and Family Members,

John 8:36 says:So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Faithful Mere Cook from Boca

I pray you are walking in the freedom and peace the Lord has provided for each of us. To be bound by fear or anxiety is a heavy burden Jesus wants to lift from us.

We again are grateful for the mercy and grace of God for preserving our villages from a powerful hurricane. Hurricane Willa was aimed at our coast, but passed us by, and as far as we know, did little damage and took no lives when it finally came ashore in a remote area.

Violeta’s Quinceañera

Our rainy season is coming to a close. Soon the high humidity will depart, and the ‘Snowbirds’ from the North will fly in for the winter. They often come laden with gifts to share with our school kids: supplies, shoes, clothes, soccer balls, and candy. The basics of school life.

We continue Caring for Kids and love the opportunity to not only feed their bodies, but their spirits as well. More and more often, we see young adults who have come through our K-6 lunch program. Young women with their babies, young men driving water taxis, working, and some finishing college. They always greet us, give us a hug, and share their beautiful smiles of thanks. We attended a special 15 year birthday Quinceanera of one of our beautiful young women this past Saturday: a church service followed by a reception.

I have also been preaching at Christ’s Church in Bucerias occasionally, and had the blessing of leading a young man to Christ and baptizing him and his brother last Sunday.

Baptism of the Boys

We want to again thank you for your years of giving and praying for us. You are daily in our prayers, and together we can continue making a difference in the lives of young people here in Mexico!

Love and blessings to all of you,
