April 2015 Newsletter

Dear friends,

“Then He (Jesus) said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands;
and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving but believing.”

John 20:27

Though we have not seen Him, I pray each of us BELIEVES this Easter season. Though we don’t see Jesus in the flesh, we daily experience His works, His love, His grace, and His mercy. May a new surge of love and praise fill our hearts this spring as we recall all He has done for us! Where would we be without His great sacrifice and gift of the Holy Spirit? Jesus reminds us in John 15: “Apart from Me, you can do nothing” (as you ought to do it—with self-sacrificing love).

We see the Lord’s works in so many of our contacts: the children’s love, hugs, and smiles; the Lord’s faithful provision through prayer; our friends’ continued support of our work; and through the privilege of preaching and people’s responses to the truths of God’s Word.

San and I are grateful. The work in Mexico continues to expand. We have been given the opportunity to help with a new church in Bucerias, thirty minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Our friends of 20 years and missionaries to Mexico, Lee and Carol Short, have been asked to pastor the church, and we are supporting them in this exciting venture. We ask your continued prayers for us and the new church, as well as for the school lunch programs, and our two scholarship students. Juan is finishing Chef school in July, and Alondra will soon finish her first semester in accounting.
