December 2021 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

I can only write with a heart full of thanks for your faithful and loving support of Caring For Kids in Mexico! It has been an indescribeable blessing. God has been so gentle and patient and loving as I have navigated new times and passed the one year mark on Nov. 21, without Randy here with me.

It has been almost two years since Covid closed schools. Recently, in Boca de Tomatlan school, I met all the new teachers. The older classes remembered me personally and crashed me with great hugs! In the younger classes, they didn’t seem to remember me, but when my friend said, ‘remember Randy?’ They yelled, ‘RANDY! SI!’ So, I know God has plans for now to continue our support of Boca and Quimixto with a weekly lunch.

In the meantime, I have prayed for other opportunities to help, and they have arisen from many unexpected places and because of Covid related problems: multiple car repairs, funerals, homeless, Randy’s longtime beach vendor friends with no sales, street people, my faithful cook who’s husband died, disability help for an injured worker, support for medical bills of a friend with older husband in hospice care, buying a phone for my lunch coordinator in Quimixto. Thankfully, because of your support, I was able to give.

It has been exciting for me to lead a Women’s Bible Study also. We are reading the book of Luke and learning so much about Jesus and the disciples. Encouraging each other and praying together is always a blessing.

It was so much fun to have my daughters Emily’s family and Abi and Ella here this fall. Adam will visit in January.

I pray for you and know God will see us through. No fear. No worry. Just ‘yoked’ with Jesus every step of the way.
