January 2016 Newsletter

Dear friends,

The Apostle Paul says:

“…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 3:13

Completing another year and launching a new one is a good time to consider both.

In what areas of my life did I struggle, sin, and in general ‘miss the mark’?  We can take some time to consider that God doesn’t want us to be crippled or weighed down with our failures. He does want us to repent, and then renew our trust in Him to give us new power and greater victory in our walk. We can also give thanks for the way God has used us to be a light to others, for His blessings, prosperity and protection. We can acknowledge that our triumphs and ability to succeed come from Him, which will give us a humble perspective, free from pride.

For the coming year, take time to read His Word, the Bible, meditate, pray and listen for any new direction. He will “open a door no man can close and close doors no man can open.”  Stir up your hope for the future. Don’t be trapped by looking back and continually recalling past failures or victories.  Rather, press on. As long as we are earth bound, God has a purpose for our lives. You are unique, and remember, the best is yet to come!

Thank you for your ongoing prayers and financial support during the past year. I pray each of us would prosper and continue advancing the Kingdom.
