Dear friends,

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear
though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.”

Psalm 46:1-3

004Many of you heard the warnings regarding Hurricane Patricia, the most severe hurricane ever recorded in the Western Hemisphere, heading directly toward Puerto Vallarta. So many of you responded with phone calls, emails, messages on facebook, and most importantly your prayers. That morning, in my devotional book (‘Magnificent Prayer’ by Nick Harrison), two stories were shared regarding God’s miraculous answers to prayer. One dealt specifically with a storm at sea. After reading it, I sensed our prayers would divert the storm and spare us the predicted devastation and possible loss of lives. Thanks to thousands responding in fervent prayer, we experienced nothing more than very light rain and literally no wind. God is good and still answers prayers. Thank you for your faithful concern.

As Thanksgiving approaches, each of us has so much for which to be grateful: our homes, families, provision, protection, and above all our salvation, and confidence in our future home with the Lord. Let us each take some personal quiet time this beautiful harvest season to remember people and things for which we are thankful. Hold your list up to the LORD and tell Him how much you love Him and appreciate all He has done for you. Then, listen for His voice and I know He will respond to your praise.

Randy having fun with the school children

We are doing well. The villages and school children of Boca de Tomatlan and Quimixto are safe and suffered no damage whatsoever from the hurricane! Even the Governor of Nayarit state said it was a miracle of God there was no damage or injury. Fox News: ‘a miracle.’ CNN: ‘Mexico was lucky.’

We appreciate your prayers, your financial giving, and your words of encouragement.

Love and blessings,

Randy and Sandra Barr
