Dear Friends, and Family,

Another year!

Cooking chilaquiles

It was so great to spend time with our four kids this summer! I was blessed to see them visit, share, and pray for one another. It’s powerful to see God’s promises fulfilled: “Bring up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he/she will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. We are all building the next generation (or two or three) and leaving a legacy.

Also, Abi and I got to visit the ARK EXHIBIT and the CREATION MUSEUM on our drive through Kentucky. They are both amazing and convincing testimonies to God and to the truth of the Bible.

We resumed the school lunch program in Quimixto this year and receive so many loving hugs and greetings every visit. The parents are still the volunteer cooks every week, and we appreciate all of their help, and also that of Felicidad, our coordinator and shopper. We were very sad to see that the huge tree that sheltered the schoolyard for all our 16 years and before, had fallen over, making removal a long and difficult project.

Our Women’s Bible Study is being challenged by the book of Hebrews in the New Testament, not to drift away, but keep meeting together, and to ‘Come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may find mercy and grace to help in time of need.’ 4:16. Jesus is praying for us, and calls us His brothers and sisters. I love Him and trust Him.
