Dear Friends,

“For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence
of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.”
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

Even in stormy skies the sun breaks through.

Our sweet new granddaughter and her big brother.

Paul’s source of joy was his trust that the people of the Thessalonian Church would stand in the presence of Jesus at His return.

When we connect and become committed to other believers, we likewise rejoice when we see them pleasing and walking with the Lord. I have felt those same emotions for people who were part of the three churches I pastored for almost 30 years. Now, my joy is in those who pray and give to care for our Mexican school children.

We are keeping in touch with our villages. Last week we received a positive report that many of the people of Quimixto were working and had enough food to carry on. We are grateful for God’s supply and assured them we are here if the needs grew. School is not in session, so it is impossible to provide the lunches at this time.

We believe God did a miracle for one of our young college students. He works in mysterious ways and in all circumstances. She moved to Guadalajara to accelerate her diploma program, where she lived with her older sister. In her first months away from her parents, lonely, and needing money, she started working and also met a friend. She got pregnant; but was told by the Doctor that the ultrasound showed the baby’s head was too small and that it probably would not survive. We started praying for comfort for her, but then felt we should pray for a miracle healing for the baby. Last week, a healthy and beautiful girl was born! Praise God! We have been helping her along her path, and also her Christian parents who traveled to meet their new granddaughter. We still have hope our student can finish college and be able to do accounting from home to help her new family.

Ice cream with our Mexican family.

We pray you are enduring and doing well in the midst of this constantly changing time in our lives.

Keep believing and trusting the Lord and victory will come!

Love and blessings,
Randy and Sandra
