Dear friends,

One of the great challenges of life is to continue believing God’s Word despite our struggles—to press through the trial until we triumph.

We look at the Apostle Paul and see his conclusion of glorying in his weakness and therein discovering God’s strength. (2 Cor. 12:9) We hear sermons and read Scripture that encourages us in the midst of our particular problems. Will we trust, or rely upon our own strategy? The pressure of life is applied and the question is: Will we embrace God’s promises and Word, or will we seek an alternative? I have encountered many such dilemmas and battled with the issue. In fact, in the midst of financial need, I am currently asking myself: Do I believe, or will I resort to other means?

Trusting the Father, crying out in prayer, leaning upon the Holy Spirit, and doing whatever He places before us is our only solution. Stand with me my friends. Let’s press onward in our faith to believe God will provide; God is our Source. We cast all upon Him. He will fulfill His Word. This is not only a challenge but, seen from a spiritual perspective, makes life a great adventure.

Our time on earth is temporary. We are preparing for eternity. Let’s not lose our focus, but keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, Who is the Author and Finisher of our growing faith. (Hebrews 12:2) Instead of seeing our challenges as problems, embrace each one as an opportunity that gives us a story to tell of God’s goodness. My greatest sermon material has come from seeing the Lord grant strength to not only endure but win the battle. Take what He has promised, apply it to your situation, and then stand back and see the presence of the Holy Spirit bring about the answers for which you have prayed! We can tell you, God has indeed been true to His Word! Month by month, every need has been met, and we have a renewed confidence in the care of our heavenly Father.

We ask you to pray for us as our ‘Light to the Nations’ team prepares for a major outreach in Ngozi, Burundi, East Africa, June 18-22. It is one of the very poorest nations in the world. Once again we are privileged to take the greatest Story ever told to some of the neediest people on earth. You can follow our reports at alighttothenations.com.

We encourage you to share your story with those God sends your way.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
