School lunch program

Dear friends,

We trust you had a joyful, victorious Easter Celebration. This, to us, is the most significant season of the year. We pray all of the promises and benefits of Jesus’ resurrection will be yours.

San and I continue working in our church’s outreaches: feeding children weekly in needy colonias, preaching, and leading a weekly Bible Study.

As we move toward the summer months, we ask you to remember ‘A Light to the Nations’, our outreach umbrella to Africa, alighttothenations.com. We have been to Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania, and are planning our first major outreach to the nation of Burundi, East Africa during the third week of June. We would appreciate your prayers for many to be saved, healed, delivered, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Please pray for unity among the Pastors who help, anointing on Dana Morey and me as we speak, and the blessing of God as thousands of people are impacted by the preaching, worship, and humanitarian aid we bring.

I recall a particular event that often runs through my memory of the African outreaches. I was standing near the steps leading up to the platform, allowing people to come forward to share what God had done in their lives. One of my interpreters stepped forward and said, “Randy, this is an amazing story!” He escorted a

teen-aged girl toward me. She was carrying a large book and a white walking cane. She handed both to me. The interpreter said, “She told me she no longer needs these.” One was a Braille Bible, the other, obviously, a cane for the blind. Her Mother and Pastor stood beside her. Her Mother was weeping. Her Pastor, with tears in his eyes, said, “I have known this young girl since she was a baby born blind. She can now see!” Dana allowed her to tell what Jesus had done for her. She spoke clearly and boldly, and the crowd shouted and began to sing.

We have been privileged to see many miracles, but this young woman’s miracle, message, and joy continue to cheer me in times of struggle. We thank you sincerely for your part in making that possible, and ask you to please consider giving generously so our team can continue saying ‘Yes’ to the many nations who request our ministry. We’ve had a few who have given much. We would now ask many to give what you can so lives and nations can continue to be transformed through the good news of Jesus Christ.

We pray you continue seeking opportunities to do good, and to bring God’s kingdom to your world.

Sending our love and prayers from Mexico,

Randy and Sandra Barr
