Dear Friends,

1 Thessalonians 5: 23-25 says:

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely;
and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He Who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it. Brothers, pray for us.”

SandraRecently I met with eight other men for a spiritual retreat. They are quality, loving Brothers, most of whom I have known for over twenty years. The teacher was the only newcomer, a man from Texas. Our theme came from the Bible passage above. We focused on understanding how to daily allow our own spirit to cooperate in practical ways with the Holy Spirit of God in receiving guidance and empowerment for our lives. There was great sharing from the men, and we affirmed each other’s positive traits and giftings. By the end of our time, we were encouraged, refreshed, and carried away a greater vision of who we are in Christ, of the Father’s great love for us, and of the larger purposes He has for our lives.

Randy&SandraThe message I bring to you is to also see God’s great love for YOU, where you are today. He desires the Holy Spirit to guide you and to do in and through you so much more than you may currently be experiencing or expecting in your life. The same Holy Spirit Who worked in Jesus’ life, and ultimately raised Him from the dead, is living in YOU if you have been born from above and ask Him to fill you daily. The cross continues to cleanse us as we confess our sins, but Quimixtothe Holy Spirit and the Father’s smile sustain and empower us to do the improbable and even the impossible. Don’t give up! Don’t allow failure or discouragement to keep you from the joy of the Lord and the bigger vision the Father has for you. Turn your eyes away from yourself and focus on Jesus, and the light will break through the darkness. My Friend, there is more, and the Lord stands ready to pour it out on you, and through you, to others. Take time to seek Him in prayer. Open your spirit to see yourself seated with Christ in the heavenlies and your inner spirit will begin to soar!

Africa1We love you and thank you for continuing to pray for us and to give to our work with kids in Mexico. We are proud of Juan, our scholarship student, who shows us pictures of all the beautiful meals he is learning to make in culinary school.

We also thank you for your prayers during our January trip to Kigoma, Tanzania, East Africa. Over 300,000 people attended our evening outreaches, with over 57,000 cards filled out for first-time salvations. Again, we saw the blind healed. A wonderful story of healing came from a woman blind in her right eye for twenty-two years. She instantly received her sight. Thousands more were touched.

Many thanks, love, and blessings,

Randy and Sandra Barr
