Dear Friends,

I do believe this expresses the heart of God toward His people. He desires to prosper us and to give us hope and a future. Our call is to daily seek the Lord with our whole heart in prayer and in His Word. I recently completed a ‘Daniel Fast’ (Daniel 1:8-16), and was so grateful for the Lord’s refreshing presence. We encourage you during this summer season to spend time individually and as families experiencing God’s wonderful presence.

It doesn’t seem possible we are within weeks of completing our SIXTH year of Caring for Kids in Mexico! We have had a good year, with so many friends from the States and Canada joining us in serving school lunches to the children and teachers in Boca de Tomatlan, Yelapa, and Quimixto. The children are always willing to sing a special song for us and our visitors and have grown in their desire and ability to pray before they are served. They had their yearly Mothers’ Day celebration at the Quimixto School, for which we provided help.

I have been to Africa in January and March of this year, with our next outreach scheduled for September 5-9 in Moshi, Tanzania, pop. 1,441,000. (See our website with photos and blog at alighttothenations.com.) Here, in Puerto Vallarta, I was blessed to teach two Bible studies at our church, covering the books of Colossians and Ephesians.
