What a statement of faith! Our great God will supply strength when we feel weak, hope when we desire to quit, power to do the job He’s called us to do, and finances to sustain our lives.

I was able to witness this first hand this summer when friends Dana, Karman, Corey, Tony, Dave and Beth, and I were in Rwanda, East Africa for a five-night outreach. We believed for an attendance of five to ten thousand people each night. The first night alone, we had over 35,000; the final night, 100,000; and the total for the five nights: approximately 250,000 people. Thousands were saved, the blind received sight, the lame walked, the poor had the Gospel preached to them, and Jesus was honored. Luke 4:18

Dana preached a simple, yet powerful, message each evening; then led people in a prayer for salvation; and finally, a general prayer for the sick. Never in all of my years have I seen such results, such joy from the people! God supplied all of our needs.

During the days, we had a ‘Fire Conference’ for pastors and leaders. Each day, 700 leaders gathered to hear a message from me or another team member, and in every meeting the energy and response were tremendous. Several of us spoke to different schools, some with over 1,000 young people. Again, the response was very encouraging. I spoke one night at a radio station broadcasting to Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and parts of Tanzania.
To see God’s power in such clear demonstration was, indeed, a faith builder. San and I do need faith as we are back in Mexico and trusting the Lord to supply our financial needs as we begin our fifth year of caring for kids in Mexico.
